1. Introduction
Welcome to Mesh API ("the Platform"). Mesh API is owned and operated as a product of Fiesta Labs Inc., a company registered in the State of Delaware, USA ("we," "our," or "us").
By accessing or using Mesh API via meshapi.ai or any of our related services, you ("User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies we may introduce.
If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
2. Services Provided
Mesh API operates as an AI gateway and infrastructure layer. We do not build or train our own models. Instead, we provide a single, OpenAI-compatible API endpoint that routes your requests to a curated network of third-party large language model and AI providers.
Our core gateway services include:
- A unified API interface that normalizes requests and responses across multiple AI providers.
- Intelligent request routing, fallback handling, and load balancing between providers.
- Usage metering, cost tracking, rate limiting, and observability for all traffic passing through the gateway.
- Security and reliability features such as DDoS protection, prompt-injection filtering, PII handling, and Zero Data Retention enabled by default.
- Enterprise options including custom provider configurations, dedicated capacity, and signed contract terms.
Model availability, provider performance, and specific gateway features may change based on third-party provider status and your selected plan.
Data handling
Zero Data Retention is enabled by default on every account. With ZDR on, your prompts and completions are processed in memory to fulfil the request and are not stored in our logs or databases. We record only usage metadata such as model, token counts, latency, cost, and a request ID.
We do not use your prompts, completions, files, or embeddings to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any model, and we do not sell or share them for advertising or marketing.
If you choose to disable ZDR for your account, prompt and completion content and related context may be retained for up to 90 days, and longer only where law or a signed contract requires it. Content routed to a third-party provider is also subject to that provider's terms and retention practices.
3. Pricing, Payment, and Contracts
Mesh API is generally offered on a pay-as-you-go basis. You are billed for the usage you consume, such as tokens processed, requests made, or other metered metrics shown in your dashboard.
For Enterprise or Team customers, custom pricing and service terms may apply under a separate written contract signed with Fiesta Labs Inc. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a signed custom contract, the signed contract will govern for that customer relationship.
Unless you have a written custom contract with us, the pay-as-you-go terms in these Terms & Conditions apply to your use of Mesh API.
4. Subscription Plans & Pricing
We may offer usage-based plans, prepaid balances, or subscription tiers. Pricing is displayed on meshapi.ai/pricing or in your account dashboard and is inclusive of applicable taxes where stated.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices, usage rates, or plan features with prior notice. Any prepaid or committed balances are subject to the terms shown at purchase.
5. Payment Processing
Payments are processed by our payment partners. You must keep your billing information accurate and up to date. Failed or non-processed payments may result in suspension, throttling, or cancellation of your account and API access.
6. Refund & Cancellation Policy
All payments made to Mesh API are non-refundable, regardless of your usage during the billing period.
This means that once your payment is charged, you are not entitled to a refund for any unused services, unused tokens, unused credits, or partial subscription periods.
You may cancel your subscription or downgrade your plan at any time; however, cancellation will only prevent future billing charges and will not result in any refund for the current billing cycle or any prepaid balance.
Exceptions to this policy may only be granted if required by applicable law.
7. Token Usage Policy
In the context of Mesh API, a "token" refers to a unit of text-processing capacity used when interacting with AI models through our platform. Tokens are consumed when you send prompts and when the AI generates responses.
The number of tokens consumed depends on the length and complexity of the prompt and the output generated. Usage is measured according to the model provider's tokenization rules.
If your plan includes a monthly allocation or prepaid balance, unused amounts do not roll over to the next cycle unless expressly stated in writing by Mesh API.
No cash value: Tokens, credits, and prepaid balances have no monetary or cash value, cannot be refunded, exchanged, transferred, resold, or converted into currency or credit of any kind. They exist solely for use within Mesh API during your active account term.
Once your allocated usage is exhausted, services may be limited, paused, or require a top-up or upgrade. Mesh API is not liable for service interruption if you reach your allocation before the cycle ends.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials, brand assets, Mesh API's name, logo, documentation, and proprietary code are the intellectual property of Fiesta Labs Inc. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or sell our materials or tools without express written consent.

Ownership of Output
Subject to the terms of our third-party AI providers, you retain the rights to the content you lawfully create using Mesh API (the "Output"), including for commercial purposes, unless restricted by the terms of the specific AI provider whose technology generated the content.
Third-Party Provider Terms
Mesh API integrates multiple AI models and providers. Your use of Outputs is also subject to each provider's terms of service, which you agree to follow.
Intellectual Property Clearance
We make no warranties or guarantees that Output is free from copyright or other intellectual property claims. It is your sole responsibility to ensure Outputs do not infringe upon third-party rights before use or publication.
Prohibited Uses of Output
You may not use Outputs to violate any applicable laws, create harmful or illegal content, or breach the acceptable use restrictions of the underlying AI provider.
Limited License to Mesh API
By using Mesh API, you grant us a narrow, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to transmit and process your prompts and Outputs solely to route and fulfil your requests, meter usage, and provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your Outputs.
This license does not permit us to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any model on your prompts or Outputs, or to sell or share them for advertising or marketing. Zero Data Retention is on by default, so your content is not stored unless you disable it. See our Privacy Policy and Security & Compliance page for details.
12. Disclaimer of Third-Party Services
Mesh API integrates AI technologies from third-party providers. We do not claim ownership over their outputs, and their respective terms and policies also apply to your use of certain features.
13. Limitation of Liability
